Community-owned and sustainability conscious, The Food Connect Shed is 317sqms of whatever you want it to be - a wedding venue, art gallery, conference centre, concert hall or pillow fight arena.
A versatile space with urban industrial charm, we're an affordable and unique space with oodles of experience hosting events and experiences for the community, by the community.
And when the lights are turned off everyone’s gone home and the last bottle’s in the (recycling) bin, you can feel good knowing that by booking our space, you’re supporting local farmers, ethical small businesses and positive change for all.

If you’re looking for an affordable, sustainable wedding venue or party space that aligns with your values, you’ve found your perfect match in us. Our expansive industrial-chic warehouse space is the perfect flexible space for bringing a uniquely ‘you’ event to life, with room for a DJ or band, dance floor and up to 150 seated or 280 cocktail guests. And perks of being in an industrial area? It’s cool if things get a little loud. Conferences, workshops, seminars
Dreamers and big ideas is what made this thing possible, and we exist to nurture more of the same. For corporate or community dos with sustainability or social enterprise at their core, or companies with strong (or budding) corporate social responsibility programs, we’ve got plenty of space for the main event, quiet spots for breakout sessions, friends to keep you fed and watered, and all your AV needs sorted. Whether you’ve got serious stuff to discuss, something to celebrate or people to schmooze, we’ll help get ‘em engaged and inspired.
Arts & Music
Looking for a space that encourages fun, creativity and open collaboration? Somewhere to share your latest book in an intimate Q&A, or launch an album to the world? A total blank canvas, we’re your go-to gig venue for everything from poetry readings to art exhibitions to your nephew’s band’s debut (ask about our youth rates if he’s keen). We have staging, sound and seating so all you need is styling, food and the bar - or we can take care of those too!
Community
At the end of the day, we exist to serve our community, and the Shed is your space. If you need a venue big enough for a neighbourhood town-hall discussion or fundraiser, a couple of cosy couches to host your book club, a bar and dancefloor for a milestone birthday, or somewhere undercover for a market, we’d love to have you.
